Offer Nissim

Offer Nissim, born in Israel in 1964, is an Israeli DJ, remixer and producer whose DJ career began in 1979 when he stepped in for an absent DJ at Tel Aviv's Theater Club, a venue where he developed professional relationships that shaped the following decade, including with singer Dana International. Nissim produced Dana International's winning entry “Diva” for the Eurovision Song Contest 1998, and after that partnership ended he stopped producing for a period and became a full-time DJ, drawing on his standing as an established name on Tel Aviv's gay club scene. He has appeared on DJ Mag's annual Top 100 DJs list four times, entering at number 29 in 2006 among other placements across the following years. Nissim occasionally plays sets in New York in addition to his regular Tel Aviv bookings, and he runs his own label, Offer Nissim Music Publishing, to release his productions and remixes. His career arc, from a last-minute fill-in DJ slot in 1979 to a Eurovision-winning producer and internationally recognised remixer, reflects four decades of continuous work across both club DJing and studio production, with his house-oriented remix style remaining closely tied to Tel Aviv's dance scene throughout.
