Nu:Tone
Nu:Tone is the drum and bass alias of Cambridge-born producer and DJ Dan Gresham, active since 2001 and signed to Hospital Records since May 2003. His DJ sets are built on a liquid funk sound that spans Hospital Records showcases and club dates worldwide, while his studio catalogue, running through Brave Nu World, Back of Beyond, Words and Pictures, Future History and Little Spaces, has fed directly into his selections behind the decks.
He has remixed tracks by Roni Size, London Elektricity, Shapeshifter, Alice Russell, 4hero, Emeli Sandé, Adele and Professor Green, several of which have become staples in liquid drum and bass DJ sets. Alongside his brothers Matt Gresham (Logistics) and Nick Gresham (Other Echoes), he is part of a family deeply embedded in the UK drum and bass scene, and he records with Matt as the duo Nu:Logic.
His discography spans labels including Hospital, Soul:R, Tru Thoughts, Liquid V and Ministry of Sound, reflecting a career that bridges dancefloor-focused DJ work with long-running production output within the genre. His releases and remixes continue to provide material for club selections, radio mixes and label showcases across the drum and bass circuit.
