Nick Curly — House & Tech-House DJ

Nick Curly, born Nico Döhringer, is a German house and tech-house DJ based in Mannheim who began his career at age 15 as resident DJ at the Vibration Club in the Karlsruhe region. He went on to hold residencies at the Loft Club in Ludwigshafen and Soho Club in Mannheim, and spent the summer of 2010 as a resident at Space Club in Ibiza, extending his club base from Germany into the island's peak summer season. Curly co-founded the label 8bit with Peter Waldmann, known as Gorge, and started Cécille Records in 2007 with Markus Scholl, both platforms tied closely to the house and tech-house sound he plays in his sets. He recorded the mix compilation Party Animals with Marco Carola for Sven Väth's Cocoon team, a project that placed him within one of techno and house music's most recognized club brands. Known in Germany as a figurehead of the "Sound of Mannheim," Curly's DJ style blends housey grooves with a consistently pushing rhythm, and his residencies across Ludwigshafen, Mannheim and Ibiza built the foundation for a club career that later expanded into UK and broader European bookings through his own labels.
