Neptune Project
Neptune Project is a trance duo from Swindon, England, made up of Dan Willis and Jules Moyce, who built their reputation on the strength of the 2009 single "Aztec," which Armin van Buuren named tune of the summer and later tune of the year live on BBC Radio 1's A State of Trance. Before forming Neptune Project in 2007, both had spent years as club regulars at the Gallery at Turnmills, Godskitchen in Birmingham and Gatecrasher in Sheffield, absorbing the trance scene before beginning to DJ themselves with early gigs across Germany and the UK. Van Buuren played "Aztec" in nearly every set for six months after its release, and the track was included in the yearly A State of Trance compilation as well as Ministry of Sound's Cream Ibiza Anthems. Their material has appeared on Breeze Recordings, Anjunabeats, Armada and Future Sound of Egypt Recordings, the label run by Aly and Fila, and their remix work has extended to Armada and Monster Tunes. Neptune Project's productions also featured on the UK's number one-selling Dave Pearce Trance Anthems and Germany's Dream Dance compilation series.
