Neonlight
Neonlight is a German drum and bass duo from Leipzig composed of Tobias Jakubczyk and Jakob Thomse, who began DJing together in the late 1990s before developing original production work. Known within the European drum and bass scene, the duo has released material through labels including Eatbrain and produced a remix of Cause4Concern's 'Never Acid Again' that drew notice from Drum&BassArena.
Their DJ sets and productions blend the genre's heavier, darker textures with melodic elements, and they have contributed tracks to scene compilations such as Bad Taste Volume 5. Neonlight's live shows and studio releases are closely intertwined, with their DJing history predating their production career by several years according to their own account of the group's origins.
German press covering the Leipzig drum and bass scene has profiled the duo around album releases such as 'My Galactic Tale,' framing them as one of the city's most established acts in the genre. Their Partyflock profile lists dozens of logged DJ performances, underscoring an active club and festival touring history across Germany and the wider European drum and bass circuit.
