Neelix
Neelix is Henrik Twardzik, a German psytrance and progressive DJ and live act born 11 September 1975 in Hamburg, who has performed since around 1998 to 2000 using a stage setup that combines DJ mixing with live MIDI controllers and keyboards rather than a standard DJ booth. That hybrid live format has taken him to major festival stages including Tomorrowland, where he played in 2026, positioning him within the psytrance and progressive circuit that crosses over into broader trance festival programming.
Twardzik runs the label Spintwist Records, using it to release the tracks that feed into his live performances and to support other artists working in a similar psytrance and progressive vein. His approach of performing tracks live rather than purely mixing pre-recorded material distinguishes his sets from conventional DJ performances, a format he has maintained consistently since his early career.
Neelix has built a following particularly within the European psytrance scene, where his live hybrid sets are a recognised draw at festivals oriented around that genre. Twardzik's career, spanning roughly a quarter century, has combined ongoing production work through Spintwist Records with a touring schedule built around his distinctive live performance format rather than club residencies.
