About Nakadia
Nakadia, born Seephrai Mungphanklang in Khon Buri, Thailand, is a techno DJ and producer who has logged over 1,600 performances across 76 countries since starting her DJ career in 2003. Now based in Berlin, she has played clubs and festivals including Ushuaia Ibiza, Amnesia Ibiza, Tresor and Watergate in Berlin, Sisyphos, D'Edge in Sao Paulo, and Stereo in Montreal, alongside festival dates at Tomorrowland, Loveparade, SonneMondSterne, Parookaville, Epizode and Rainbow Serpent in Australia.
A visit to a European techno club sparked her decision to become a DJ, and by 2005 she had already played more than 100 gigs worldwide. Her productions and DJ sets are known for percussive grooves and driving beats, with releases on Carl Cox's Intec label as well as Filth on Acid, Set About and Codex.
Nakadia's rise from rural Thailand, where she grew up without running water, to touring the world's techno circuit has been documented in interviews recounting her self-made path into the scene. She continues to tour internationally, maintaining a busy global gig schedule built entirely on live DJ performances rather than a fixed residency.
