Myon & Shane 54 are a Hungarian trance duo known for bass-thumping progressive trance, melodic programming and vocal club records. Their first major break came in 2009, when they opened the A State of Trance 400 show before millions of fans worldwide. The appearance rapidly widened their audience: later that year they entered the DJ Magazine poll for the first time at 91, and after three years together they reached 66 in the DJMag Top 100.
Soon after the A State of Trance breakthrough, they created International Departures, a weekly radio show that became an important extension of their DJ identity. Their sets combine euphoric progressive trance, vocals and intricate mash-ups, with the source characterizing those blends as mind-melting. They have remixed work by Armin van Buuren, Above & Beyond and Cosmic Gate, connecting their own programming to a broader international trance scene.
Under their Velvetine alias, Safe (Everywhere You Are) became an iconic track and appeared on numerous compilation albums.
