About Miss Sheila
Miss Sheila is a techno and tech-house DJ and producer based in Portugal who was born in South Africa, moved to New York at age seven, and later relocated to Portugal as a teenager, where she discovered clubbing and dance music. She has become one of the country's most visible female DJs, performing regularly at Sound Waves Festival in Esmoriz, where she has played since its earliest editions, and at Queima das Fitas in Porto. Her sets have been filmed for platforms including BE-AT.TV, which recorded a live mix from Sound Waves Festival in 2019, giving her international visibility within the techno and tech-house streaming space. Miss Sheila has described her path as one of the first women to establish a lasting presence in Portugal's DJ scene, building her career across the country's clubs and festivals while also developing production work alongside her DJ sets.
