Ming

MING, born Aaron Albano in Syosset, New York, co-founded the turntablist duo MING+FS in 1996, a project that performed more than 1,000 shows across the United States and internationally, sharing stages with Sting, RUN-DMC and Moby and playing Coachella, Jam Cruise and Jazz Fest. He studied electrical engineering with an audio specialization at the University of Miami before building a Grammy-nominated production career, earning a Best Remixed Recording nomination in 2015 for his remix of "Crossfingers – Falling Out." His weekly syndicated mix show, MING Presents Warmth, launched in 2016 across Dash Radio, di.fm and Future.fm, expanding by 2017 to more than 38 FM and online syndications reaching over 2.8 million monthly listeners, and has since surpassed 500 episodes. MING also maintained a residency aboard Hornblower Cruises in New York City, sustaining an active live schedule alongside his broadcasting work. His discography spans the King Kong EP on Steve Aoki's Dim Mak Records, a collaboration with Le Castle Vania on deadmau5's Mau5trap label, and the trap-influenced Blackout EP on Datsik's Firepower Records, along with commercial remixes for Beyoncé, Lady Gaga, Katy Perry and the Black Eyed Peas. He owns Lofiction Records and co-owns B4 AFTR, continuing to release music through his ongoing project ARTWERQ and drum and bass alias Until the Dawn.
