Metrik
Metrik is a London-based drum and bass producer and DJ who broke through in 2008 with Your World, an overnight liquid drum and bass anthem, before signing exclusively to Hospital Records in autumn 2012. His track Technicolour was used as the sound bed for Barack Obama's victory speech on BBC Radio 1, and his 2013 self-titled debut EP drew support from Sub Focus, Mistajam and High Contrast, leading to an invitation to record the prestigious BBC Radio 1 Essential Mix. He undertook worldwide touring that year and headlined a Hospitality tour of the USA and Canada the following year, alongside festival dates at Glastonbury, Global Gathering, EDC, Pukkelpop and Let It Roll, plus Hospitality's own Brixton Academy shows. His 2014 single Want My Love, featuring Elisabeth Troy, preceded his debut album Universal Language, which charted in the UK, and his track Terminus stood out on the Hospitality 2016 compilation. A prolific remixer, Metrik has reworked tracks for Eric Prydz, DJ Fresh, Ellie Goulding, Gorgon City, Sub Focus and Swedish House Mafia, output that continues to inform his sets across the drum and bass festival circuit.
