Metodi Hristov
Metodi Hristov is a Sofia-based techno and tech house DJ and producer who has played internationally while running his own label, Set About Music, which he co-founded in 2016 with his girlfriend Gallya. A December 2018 Set About showcase in Sofia drew around 2,000 attendees, part of a series of showcases the label has staged in Bulgaria and abroad to build a platform around his sound.
He signed with the Analog Agency for booking representation in 2019, a partnership that supported planned touring across Australia and South America that year alongside further Set About events worldwide. Hristov's productions range from raw, driving techno to the darker end of tech house, and his catalog includes releases through Octopus Recordings, Filth on Acid and Terminal M, labels that place him within the harder end of the European techno circuit.
His track Synthetic came out via Octopus Recordings, while the Contact EP appeared on his own Set About label in 2019, including a collaborative cut with DJ Lion titled No Human Interaction. Hristov's dual role as a touring DJ and label head has kept him connected to both club bookings and the wider techno community he built through Set About's showcases.
