About Menno de Jong
Menno de Jong is a Dutch trance DJ born in Den Helder and based in Eindhoven. A classically trained pianist, he brings that musical background to a melodic, classically influenced trance style. His early development as a producer included Guanxi, released on Anjunabeats in 2004, and he was championed early on by Tiësto, Armin van Buuren and Paul van Dyk.
Menno de Jong's performance history includes Amnesia Ibiza, Godskitchen, Gatecrasher, Sensation White and Gaudi Arena in Moscow. He is known for extended sets that can run up to 10 hours, a format well suited to his long-form trance programming. His festival appearances include Tomorrowland, Electric Daisy Carnival, A State Of Trance, Amsterdam Dance Event, Creamfields, Trance Energy, Mysteryland and Love Parade Berlin.
In 2013 he signed to Black Hole Recordings and released through its In Trance We Trust imprint, later becoming the imprint's A&R manager. He also founded Intuition Recordings with Paul Moelands. Combining piano training, extended DJ sets and label curation, Menno de Jong has built a career that connects melodic trance performance with a sustained role in the genre's label culture.
