Matthew Dekay
Matthew Dekay is a Dutch DJ and composer whose sets are known for a signature blending technique in which he layers multiple tracks simultaneously to build extended, hypnotic sets rather than relying on quick transitions. Early exposure to Ibiza's Space and Amnesia and Amsterdam's Roxy and iT clubs shaped his introduction to electronic music before he began performing at clubs and festivals worldwide in the early 2000s, following early production success.
In 2011 he co-founded All Day I Dream with Lee Burridge, a party concept and label built around a sound Dekay developed partly through his collaboration with Canadian producer Jimmy Vallance, known separately as Bob Moses, beginning around 2008; Dekay departed the project after the summer of 2016. His festival credits include appearances at Berlin's Love Parade and Amsterdam's Dance Valley, and his catalogue spans ambient, house, and dub techno textures suited to his preference for long-form sets.
Following his departure from All Day I Dream, Dekay returned to more dancefloor-oriented productions around 2018, previewing new material during sets tied to releases on Mandar's Oscillat label, including a collaboration with Mandar member S.A.M. He has continued performing internationally while pursuing further label and party ventures.
