Mathias Kaden

Mathias Kaden, born in 1981 in Karl-Marx-Stadt, now Chemnitz, built a techno and house career anchored by a residency at the Muna club that began in 1998, one of the longest-running residencies documented among his German techno peers. His German Wikipedia entry also credits him with a residency at Sven Vath's long-running Ibiza night at Amnesia, placing him within one of the island's respected techno and house programs alongside one of the genre's influential figures.

Kaden's releases on Freude am Tanzen, Vakant, Cocoon, and Get Physical span several labels associated with German house and techno's melodic, dub-influenced strand through the 2000s and 2010s. Fabric London invited him to record an installment of its N8Falter podcast series, extending his reach to the club's international audience beyond his German residencies.

His sets blend deep, textured techno with house elements drawn from the Freude am Tanzen and Vakant catalogues, a style consistent with the East German techno lineage he emerged from in Chemnitz. The combination of a Muna residency dating back over two decades and an Amnesia slot under Vath gives Kaden a clearly documented career built on sustained residencies rather than one-off festival appearances.
