Martin Solveig

Martin Solveig, born Martin Laurent Picandet on 22 September 1976 in Paris, is a French DJ, singer and producer. He trained as a child soprano soloist in the Paris Boys Choir before becoming a DJ at 18, working famous Parisian nightclubs including L'Enfer, Le Queen and Les Bains-Douches, the venues where he first built his reputation behind the decks.

He hosts a weekly radio show called C'est La Vie, broadcast on stations worldwide including Radio FG in France, which has served as his main platform for reaching listeners and previewing new music alongside his club and festival touring. Solveig runs his own label, Mixture Stereophonic, and was ranked 29th in the 2011 DJ Mag Top 100 DJs poll, a reflection of his standing as both a producer and international touring DJ.

He has collaborated with artists including David Guetta, Jax Jones, under the shared alias Europa, Laidback Luke, Dragonette, Kele of Bloc Party and Madonna, relationships that have also extended into shared studio sessions and live collaborations. Active since 1994, Solveig continues to combine his weekly radio show with festival dates and club performances across the house and electro-pop leaning end of the French dance scene.
