About Markantonio
Markantonio is a techno DJ and producer from Naples, Italy, who has built his career since first working the decks at age 15 and beginning production in 1999 with an EP alongside Davide Squillace on Marco Carola's Design Music. He founded the techno label Analytic, later expanded into AnalyticTrail, in 2001, and has used it as the main platform for his own releases while also issuing music through Recycled Loops, Shake Rec, Tortured, Conform, Snatch!
Records and Second State. His DJ bookings have included Awakenings in the Netherlands, among stops across his home circuit in Naples and the wider Italian and European techno scenes.
Recent studio work has included the collaborative EP Octave Shift with Canadian producer Atroxx, a partnership formed after the two met at Amsterdam Dance Event, alongside a forthcoming track with Valerio Corrado for Pan-Pot's label Second State. Tracks including Funkt It, Jackin Day and Music Is My Weapon remain staples of his catalogue, and remix work for artists such as Kaiserdisco has kept Markantonio a consistent presence on techno charts and in club bookings across the European underground scene he has worked in for over two decades.
