Mario Ochoa, born in Medellín, Colombia in 1982, is a DJ and producer who has been active in dance music since 1999, when he began at age 18, with production work following from 2000 onward. Best known for house and tech house, he has also worked across broader EDM styles, building an international profile through both original tracks and remix work.
Since 2010, Ochoa has hosted Infected Beats, a fortnightly radio show and podcast that features guest mixes alongside his own selections, giving him a recurring platform to showcase new house and tech house material to a global audience. His breakout release, “Habla con la Luna,” became a significant hit in Spain and helped establish his name outside Colombia, feeding into a touring career that has taken him across the Americas and Europe.
Ochoa's bookings are handled internationally through Avenue Recordings, reflecting a schedule that spans North, Central and South America as well as European dates. More than two decades into his career, he continues to balance studio output with DJ sets and his ongoing Infected Beats show, maintaining a consistent presence within the house and tech house scenes he has worked in since his teenage years in Medellín.
