Marco Carola is an Italian electronic DJ from Naples who began DJing at 15 after buying his first turntables. His work is associated with techno and electronic dance music, and his career has combined extended DJ sets, long Ibiza residencies and a considerable label-building presence. He has released on Minus, Plus 8, 2M and Primate Recordings and issued five albums, but his activity as a selector and promoter is equally central. Carola founded six labels: Design, Zenit, Question, One Thousands, Do.Mi.No.
and Music On. He launched Music On at Miami's Shelbourne Hotel in 2011, then took its residency to Amnesia Ibiza from 2012 to 2018 after a two-year Cocoon residency at the same club. His performance history also includes a February 2017 live album recording at Sound Nightclub in Los Angeles. He played a 24-hour nonstop set at Sunwaves 17 in Mamaia, Romania, in 2015, one of the clearest demonstrations of his endurance as a DJ.
At The BPM Festival, he gave a live performance in 2016 and presented a Music On after-hour at Martina Beach in Playa del Carmen in 2018. With a career built from Naples outward through Ibiza, Miami, Los Angeles and international festivals, Carola remains closely identified with sustained, marathon-minded electronic DJing and the club platforms he has established.
