Marc Romboy

Marc Romboy, born in Mönchengladbach on 19 June 1970, is a German DJ and producer with a career stretching back to the early 1990s, when he began producing techno and trance tracks alongside collaborators Jürgen Driessen, Klaus Derichs and Stefan Bossems. He co-founded the dance label Alphabet City in 1992 and achieved chart success later that decade and into the early 2000s as part of the trance duo Marc et Claude with Klaus Derichs, whose single I Need Your Lovin' (Like the Sunshine) nearly reached the UK Top 10 in 2000.

In 2004 he founded the tech-house label Systematic Recordings, which he has run ever since, and released his debut full-length album, Gemini, in 2006. His DJ schedule has taken him to venues including Fabric and Womb, and to Berghain and Rex Club, along with three separate Boiler Room appearances.

In 2017 he released Reconstructing Debussy, a live recording of his collaboration with the Dortmund Philharmonic Orchestra produced in cooperation with Boiler Room, following his more electronica-oriented album Voyage de la planète the same year. Romboy has released music on labels including Innervisions, Cocoon and Kompakt, and continues to tour internationally more than three decades into his career.
