Louis la Roché

Louis La Roché, real name Brett Ewels, is an English nu-disco and house DJ and producer from Norwich who has spent close to two decades blending French house and funk influences into his sets and productions. He began in 2008 with the Michael Jackson-sampled track "Love," a release mistaken by many blogs for a Daft Punk record, and later founded his own label, Ever After Records, to release EPs including "Me & Her," "Super Soaker" and "Composure." His profile grew through touring, with North and South American dates in 2015 supporting his debut album "To Rest Is To Rust," and he supported Kylie Minogue on two stops of her Kiss Me Once Tour in 2014. La Roché also hosted his own hour-long show on BBC Radio 1, giving him a platform to showcase nu-disco and house selections to a national audience. His track "Just Like You," released in 2015, was featured on the Majestic Casual platform, a channel closely tied to the chill and nu-disco DJ scene he has long been part of. Through Ever After Records and labels such as Om Records and Nurvous Records, he has continued releasing collaborative EPs and singles into the mid-2020s, keeping his sound rooted in the retro-tinged dance style that first defined his DJ identity.
