Leon Bolier
Leon Bolier, born Leendert Wouter Bolier on 21 October 1980, is a Dutch trance DJ and producer who also performs under the mononym Bolier. His DJ career flourished from 2008, when he entered DJ Mag's Top 100 DJs poll at number 95, climbing 32 places the following year before reaching number 68 in 2010. His BLR alias blends melodic techno, house and trance into dancefloor-oriented sets, and he has played major festivals including Tomorrowland, Mysteryland and World Club Dome alongside club gigs worldwide. Bolier began his production career collaborating with his brother Bart under the name Subsphere, releasing on Green Martian before his work appeared on Armin van Buuren's A State of Trance series, which helped establish him during the Dutch trance revival of the 2010s. His sound shifted over the years, moving from straightforward uplifting trance toward more melodic and techno-leaning territory, a change reflected in releases like “Disco Davai.” Though he dropped out of DJ Mag's Top 100 list after 2010, Bolier has continued to tour and release music steadily, maintaining a presence on the European festival circuit and remaining a recognisable name within the Netherlands' trance scene for well over a decade.
