Ralph Kyau and Steven Moebius Albert are the German trance duo Kyau & Albert. Kyau began producing electronic music in 1990, released his first record, Modulation Experiments, in 1993, and founded Harmony Recordings the same year. After meeting Albert in 1994, the pair issued their first collaboration, Let Me In, as Kyau vs. Albert in 1996.
They established the Euphonic label and company in 1997, received a long-term Warner Music contract in 2000, and adopted the Kyau & Albert name in 2006. Their sets and releases are rooted in melodic trance and electronic dance music, a direction that earned early support from Paul van Dyk, Tiësto and KayCee. Their 2002 Sun Decade track I'm Alone became a worldwide club hit and brought major attention to both the duo and Euphonic. Alongside their touring identity, they have built a lasting curatorial outlet through the monthly Euphonic Sessions radio show, broadcast on AH.FM, rebroadcast elsewhere and offered as a podcast.
They have also released on Anjunabeats and marked their longevity with the 15 Years compilation and the 20 Years EP. Their sustained profile included four consecutive appearances in the DJ Magazine Top 100 DJs poll from 2007 to 2010.
