Karmon
Karmon is the recording name of Karmon Spiekermann, a Dutch house DJ and producer signed to Solomun's Diynamic Music label, where his 2018 EP Picture marked a stylistic turn toward new sound textures within his catalog. Partyflock's DJ database credits him with more than 70 logged performances across Dutch clubs and festivals, including a booking at Port of Colors in Amsterdam. His 2012 EP Wowshit, released on Diynamic, included the collaborative track Nobody Else with fellow Dutch artist NTFO, a pairing that reflected the label's approach of pairing its roster together across various-artist releases. Deep House Amsterdam's interview with Spiekermann traced his career back to the EP Turning Point on Sintope Digital, which he described as the actual turning point that launched his profile within the Dutch house scene. His sound has been described as pulling from indie and nu disco influences layered under funky synths and edgy basslines, textures built for the house and deep house sets he plays under the Karmon name across Diynamic-affiliated club nights and festival dates.
