Justice
Justice is the French duo of Gaspard Auge and Xavier de Rosnay, who met through Paris's dance scene and first drew attention with a 2003 remix of Simian's Never Be Alone, made for a contest run by a college radio station and later signed to Ed Banger Records. The remix, reissued in 2006 as We Are Your Friends on Ten Records, established the pair within a wave of French producers championed by DJs including Erol Alkan, Tiga and 2 Many DJ's, who helped push their sound into clubs across Europe. Their debut solo single, Waters of Nazareth, followed on Ed Banger in 2005, building the electro house identity that shaped their later releases and live shows. While often presented as a live act with elaborate stage production, Justice has maintained a DJing practice tied to Ed Banger's roster and the broader Parisian club scene that launched them, remixing artists including Britney Spears, Daft Punk and Franz Ferdinand along the way. The duo continues to tour, preparing new live dates as recently as 2024, with Auge and de Rosnay's DJ and remix work remaining central to how their sound has spread through European and American dance floors since the mid-2000s.
