Junior Sanchez
Junior Sanchez, born Eugenio Sanchez Jr. in Newark, New Jersey, is an American house DJ who started playing decks at age 11 and was already DJing professionally in New York clubs including Limelight and Tunnel by age 13 or 14. His first release arrived on Strictly Rhythm while he was a high school sophomore, and by 1997 he made his international debut at Tribal Gathering in London, opening for Kraftwerk as part of The S-Men alongside Roger Sanchez and DJ Sneak.
Sanchez has released house music on labels including Strictly, Nervous, Yoshitoshi and Defected, and remixed artists such as Daft Punk, Madonna, Shakira, Katy Perry and Gorillaz. He operated the label Cube Recordings, home to releases from Felix Da Housecat, Steve Mac and Paul Woolford, and has since run Brobot Records, distributed by Armada Music, along with his newer venture KULTUR, a label, events and lifestyle brand with an educational focus. His debut full-length album, Under the Influence, arrived in 2017, and he has continued releasing singles including Art O Fact in 2023.
Sanchez continues to tour globally while running his labels and mentoring through KULTUR.
