Joop
Joop is a Dutch trance DJ and producer whose career began in 2001 when he won a national DJ contest run by promoter ID&T. That win led ID&T to hand him headline slots at its flagship festivals, including Trance Energy, Innercity, Mysteryland and Sensation, and in 2002 the promoter chose him to mix the Trance Energy Compilation.
Tracks such as "Act Of God," "The World," "Another World" and "Sonsuz" gave Joop an international breakthrough as a producer, but it was 2007's "The Future" that became Trance Energy's signature anthem and sent him on an ongoing world tour across multiple continents. His sets are known for drawing on melody, energy and heavy bass lines, a style he built into a signature sound over a decade of festival work.
In 2012 he released "Just One Night" with vocalist Tiffany Johnston, and the following year issued a remix of "The Future" to keep the anthem in rotation for a new generation of crowds. Reviewers have described his mixing as taking audiences with ease, pairing technical control with an enthusiastic stage presence that has kept him a fixture of the Dutch trance festival circuit for over two decades.
