Jon O'Bir is a British DJ and producer who spent twelve years DJing and producing before announcing in a Facebook post shared to Reddit that he was stepping away from both pursuits. During his active years he held a residency with GodsKitchen, one of the UK's prominent trance and dance club brands, and hosted his own show on BBC Radio 1, a platform that also led to an invitation to record an Essential Mix.
His production catalogue includes the albums “From Within” and “Music Database,” along with tracks such as “Found A Way,” remixed by Joint Operations Centre, and “Perfect As You Are” featuring vocalist Julie Harrington. O'Bir's touring history included dates alongside major trance names, reflected in later lineups such as the Rong Indoor Festival, which paired his catalogue with artists including Paul van Dyk, Ferry Corsten, Aly & Fila and Bryan Kearney.
His work was released partly through Infinity, a label and events company connected to the trance scene he operated within for over a decade. Though he announced a move away from active DJing and production, his run through BBC Radio 1, an Essential Mix booking and a GodsKitchen residency mark a career built on British trance platforms during the 2010s.
