Jon Gurd — Trance & Progressive DJ & Producer

Jon Gurd is a UK DJ and producer who came up through the British underground scene in the early 2000s and has spent over two decades on the circuit, including a spell as resident DJ at Slinky in Bournemouth. Early in his career he took warm-up slots for Paul van Dyk and Armin van Buuren, positioning him within the trance and progressive scene before he stepped away from music for personal reasons in 2013. Gurd returned to producing in 2016 and 2017, and his comeback led to a debut Room Two performance at Fabric in London in 2022, along with live dates at Phonox and Printworks in London during the second half of 2021. His track Lion reached number three on the iTunes Dance chart in summer 2020 and later appeared on Anjunadeep, where he released his first full-length album after signing to the label in his later career phase. Gurd's arc, from early-2000s club support slots through a multi-year hiatus to a renewed run of London club dates and a deep house-leaning signing to Anjunadeep, reflects a DJ career built on steady scene presence rather than a single breakout moment.
