John 00 Fleming
John Fleming, known professionally as John 00 Fleming, is an English DJ from Worthing, West Sussex, who has played across major clubs of British dance music including Cream, Gatecrasher, Ministry of Sound and Godskitchen. His sets moved from goa trance in his early years through harder trance before settling into psychedelic trance, a shift reflected in the catalogue of JOOF Recordings, the label he founded in 1998, whose first release was a collaboration with Russell Floorplay titled We Have No Reference of Time. JOOF has released material from artists including Airwave and John O'Callaghan, and Fleming briefly ran subsidiary imprints JOOF Deep and JOOF Test Series.
His long-running radio show, now titled JOOF Radio and previously known as Global Trance Grooves, airs monthly on Digitally Imported and has produced compilation releases including Global Trance Grooves, Vol. 1: Two Tribes with Christopher Lawrence in 2008 and The History of Trance Euphoria in 2010. He has also compiled psy-trance-focused releases such as A Journey into Psy-Trance and Psy-Trance Euphoria.
Fleming battled lung cancer in his early twenties, an experience that ran alongside a recording career built on releases through Ministry of Sound, Deconstruction Records and Logic Records, and continued touring on the international trance circuit for decades afterward.
