About Joel Mull
Joel Mull is a Stockholm-based techno DJ and producer, born in 1975, who has been active since 1993 and is considered part of the first wave of what became known as the Swedish techno sound, alongside contemporaries Cari Lekebusch, Jesper Dahlbäck and Adam Beyer. He co-founded the label Parabel, using it to release tracks that have fed into his own club and festival sets, while his connection to Drumcode Records has kept his productions closely tied to one of techno's most prominent international imprints.
Mull has recorded regular guest mixes for Drumcode Radio Live, a series that has become an important showcase platform for techno DJs and has helped keep his sets in circulation among the label's global audience. His three-decade career places him among the formative generation of Swedish techno producers whose early work in the 1990s helped establish the country as a significant techno hub.
Mull's DJ sets favor the driving, hypnotic style associated with that early Swedish scene, a sound he has continued to refine through both his label work and his Drumcode-affiliated releases. Across more than 30 years, Joel Mull has remained an active DJ within the techno scene he helped shape from its early days in Stockholm.
