Joe T. Vannelli
Joe T. Vannelli, born Giuseppe Troccoli in Taranto in 1959, is an Italian DJ, producer and radio host whose career began in 1978 at some of Milan's first private radio stations, giving him an early platform that ran parallel to his club work for decades.
Also known as JTV, he has played clubs and festivals including Pacha and Amnesia in Ibiza, Tomorrowland, and Berlin's Love Parade, placing his DJ sets across both the Ibiza superclub circuit and mainland Europe's major festival stages. His long-running mix and compilation series, including Mixtime, Original Groove, Underground People and the multi-volume Supalova series, spans house, electronic and techno styles and reflects a catalogue built over more than four decades of continuous activity, listed as ongoing since 1977.
Beyond DJing, Vannelli has worked extensively as a producer and talent scout, running Sound Faktory as a base for his production and A&R work in Milan. That combination of early radio exposure, sustained club residencies across Ibiza and Europe, and a long series of mix compilations has kept his name attached to Italian dance music since its earliest club scenes took shape, and he remains active as a DJ, producer and label figure today.
