Jochen Miller
Jochen van der Steijn, known as Jochen Miller, is a Dutch trance and progressive house DJ born in 1979 in Mill who began his career at 16 under the alias DJ Jochen, practicing his mixing at a disco owned by his father before becoming its resident DJ. He took a residency at Zino's dance club in Tilburg at 18 and won the Dutch Mixing Championships at Dance Valley in 1999, drawing attention for spinning on three turntables. In 2001 he became the first resident DJ at Nijmegen's The Matrixx club, and he switched from the DJ Jochen alias to Jochen Miller in 2003 before signing to David Lewis Productions DJ Agency in 2010. His track "Lost Connection" was featured on Armin van Buuren's A State of Trance 2008 compilation and helped bring him international recognition, and in 2011 he co-wrote "Rotunda" with Markus Schulz, which debuted at A State of Trance 500 in Buenos Aires. He has hosted the monthly radio show "Stay Connected" as part of van Buuren's A State of Sundays broadcast on SiriusXM's Electric Area, and has released a run of singles through Armada Trice and Armind, including collaborations with Andrew Rayel and Orjan Nilsen.
