Jerome Isma-Ae is a German DJ and producer whose work crosses techno, trance, progressive house, melodic techno and ambient or chillout music. He learned piano and guitar as a child, played bass in a heavy metal band at 12 and began making beats with a drum machine at 14. His first record arrived on Delirium Records in 1994. Soon afterward he formed Future Funk with Marcel Krieg, releasing through Strictly Rhythm and Sony Music, while the Hitech Child project appeared on Tronic in 1997 with remixes by Adam Beyer.
These early ventures established a wide stylistic base for his later DJ and production career. He has performed in more than 300 cities across 80 countries, marking a long-standing international touring reach. In 2004 he founded Jee Productions, home to tracks including Kubrick, Arise and Jupiter. His sound is characterized by a heavy rhythmic foundation, haunting harmonies, counter-melodies and ambient textural layers.
Collaborations with Alastor from 2015 moved into a deeper, darker progressive direction, and the Tone Depth collaboration Kiera brought him to Suara. He received a Golden Record in 2008 for his remix of Guru Josh's Infinity, while Underwater Love was named Beatport's best chillout track of 2009. Isma-Ae's DJ profile combines road-tested global reach with melodic detail and a fluid approach to electronic subgenres.
