Jazzanova
Jazzanova is a Berlin-based German DJ and producer collective comprising Alexander Barck, Claas Brieler, Jürgen von Knoblauch, Roskow Kretschmann, Stefan Leisering and Axel Reinemer. They came together as a group of DJs in 1995 with the initial goal of creating tracks to play in their own sets alongside older records.
Their self-released track 'Fedime's Flight' circulated among DJs in 1997 before they connected with Michael Reinboth's Compost label in Munich, jointly forming Jazzanova Compost Records, which released their first EPs in 1998; the collective also founded its own imprint, Sonar Kollektiv, during the same period. As DJs, remixers, radio programmers and label curators, Jazzanova recorded mix releases including Circles in 1998, Jazzanova...Mixing in 2004 and Jazzanova...Broad Casting in 2006, alongside a radio programme broadcast from OFFtrack Radio in 2007.
They remixed material for Ian Pooley, Incognito, 4Hero and Masters at Work, and spent much of the 2010s touring globally, with live sets appearing at festivals and arenas worldwide, including a 2026 date at KiKuMu in Estonia. Jazzanova's studio albums include In Between, Of All The Things and The Pool, released between 2002 and 2018.
