Jakes
Jakes is the performing name of Bristol-based dubstep DJ, producer and former MC Jermaine Jacobs, who first built a public profile as an MC for the drum and bass act Pendulum before shifting focus to dubstep DJing and production. He founded H.E.N.C.H Recordings, a label that has released more than 60 records and given Jakes a steady pipeline of tracks that feature heavily in his own club sets.
