Ivy Lab
Ivy Lab, a British bass music act, formed in 2012 in North London as a trio of established drum and bass producers, Sabre, Stray and Halogenix, before continuing as a duo of Sabre and Stray following Halogenix's departure. The group's DJ sets and productions helped define the halftime subgenre, a slower-tempo strand of drum and bass that blends dubstep, hip-hop and electronica influences, and Mixmag named the trio one of the top 10 DJs of 2015 on the strength of that sound.
Ivy Lab's club and label presence grew through their own 20/20 LDN night and label, launched in London in 2015 and honored with Best Breakthrough Label at the DJ Mag Best of British Awards in 2016, alongside earlier releases including the debut single Oblique on Critical Music. Their DJ sets have incorporated remix work for artists including Sub Focus, TC and Anushka, and the duo continued releasing club records into the 2020s, including material on the house and techno-focused label Dirtybird that showed their range beyond drum and bass roots.
Speaking about their evolving live approach, the pair described themselves as a pan-genre act able to make, release and DJ drum and bass on their own terms. In January 2026 Ivy Lab announced the project would conclude later that year.
