Infected Mushroom are Israeli DJs Erez Eisen and Amit Duvdevani, a duo formed in Haifa in 1996 and later based in Los Angeles. They are widely identified as pioneers of psytrance, with a long-running approach that connects psychedelic trance, progressive psytrance, electro house and dream trance. Touring continuously since 1999, the pair have developed a live presentation that goes beyond a conventional DJ booth: their shows are built around a full band and visuals, matching their hypnotic arrangements and layered melodies.
That combination allows their sets to blur genre lines while maintaining the immersive, psychedelic focus associated with their name. Their recording history includes releases through BNE, Hom-Mega, Dim Mak and Monstercat, and their sustained activity was marked by the 25th-anniversary album IM25 in 2022 and REBORN in 2024. DJ Magazine has placed the duo among the world's ten best DJs on two occasions.
Rather than relying on a narrow club format, Infected Mushroom have made the scale and texture of their live show a central part of their DJ identity. Their enduring appeal comes from translating complex psytrance structures into a visual, band-backed performance experience that can keep evolving across decades of touring.
