Herobust
Herobust is the stage name of Hayden Jerome Kramer, an Atlanta-based bass music producer and DJ whose heavy, hip-hop-inflected sound has carried his sets onto major festival stages across North America. He began making hip-hop beats in Atlanta before shifting into the bass music space, developing what outlets including Rolling Stone, Vice, The Huffington Post and MTV described as a distinctive busted low-end style.
His track Skurt Reynolds, released through Mad Decent, and Sheknowshebad on SMOG helped anchor his catalogue, while a collaboration with Snails, Pump This, extended his reach through Owsla's release roster. Kramer's live sets are built around booming 808s and heavy drops that keep his ATL hip-hop, dubstep and trap influences audible across a single performance rather than isolating them by track.
He has toured extensively as part of the wider North American bass music festival circuit, with his releases functioning as vehicles for the same aggressive low-end approach heard in his DJ sets. Herobust continues to release new singles alongside his touring schedule, maintaining a profile built on a hybrid bass sound that draws equally from Southern hip-hop and dubstep-derived production techniques.
