Helena
Helena Ellis is a Sydney-based DJ known in Australia's club scene for her urban and hip-hop sets. She hosts the weekly Club Edge program on The Edge 96.1, airing Thursday through Saturday evenings, and has held residencies at The Argyle, Marquee Sydney and The Club Sydney.
Ellis runs her own sold-out monthly hip-hop party, Ellis Island, and contributes to the ARIA Club Chart as an official DJ and panelist for its Urban Chart. Her DJ work has put her alongside touring international acts including Nelly, Bone Thugs-n-Harmony, Lupe Fiasco, B.o.B., DJ Quik, Mobb Deep, 112 and Blu Cantrell, bookings that built her reputation as one of Australia's leading urban female DJs.
ARIA has recognized her as its DJ of the Week, citing her rapid rise within the club circuit and her steady presence on Sydney radio and dancefloors. Her career reflects a hybrid of club residencies, radio broadcasting and event promotion that has kept her consistently active in the country's urban and hip-hop DJ community over an extended run behind the decks.
