Hayden James
Hayden James is a Melbourne-born, Sydney-associated Australian DJ, songwriter and producer signed to the Future Classic label since releasing his debut single Permission to Love in June 2013, which included remixes by label mates Touch Sensitive and Charles Murdoch. His debut EP, Hayden James, followed on 30 August 2013, and he built his live profile by supporting Disclosure and Odesza on US and Australian tour dates, alongside festival appearances at Splendour in the Grass and Groovin the Moo. His December 2014 single Something About You was certified Gold in Australia and streamed more than 68 million times, followed by Just a Lover in June 2016, which earned an ARIA nomination for Best Dance Release and led to a national tour supported by producer Dena Amy. James has released three studio albums as of 2026, building a catalogue rooted in house music with a strong melodic, song-based sensibility that has translated into headline club and festival sets across Australia and internationally. His years active since 2013 reflect a steady climb from Future Classic label support to touring artist status, with remix and support-slot exposure functioning as key steps in establishing his DJ and live show profile.
