Habstrakt

Habstrakt, the French DJ and producer born Adam Jouneau, has played major festival stages including Ultra Music Festival in Miami, Lollapalooza Paris and the Electric Daisy Carnival main stage in Las Vegas. Raised in the south of France, he came up through the Château Bruyant dubstep collective before signing to Never Say Die Records, the label that has anchored much of his touring profile as a linchpin artist. His DJ sets mix bass house, dubstep and electro, a diversity he has built his reputation on across releases such as the On the Block EP with Eptic.

Now based in Los Angeles, he has continued to headline international bass music lineups while amassing more than a million monthly Spotify listeners through tracks including Chicken Soup, which also appeared on Spotify's Dance Rising playlist. Field Day Sydney has also featured him on its bill, extending his festival footprint beyond North American and European markets. His releases on Mad Decent and Spinnin' Records sit alongside his Never Say Die output, reflecting a catalogue built to translate directly into his high-energy live sets.

He discovered dubstep in 2008 after an earlier interest in trip-hop and dub-influenced beats, a background that continues to inform the eclectic bass sound he plays out on tour. Now well over a decade into his career, he remains one of the more recognisable French exports within the international bass house and dubstep circuit.
