About Groove Armada
Groove Armada is the British duo of Andy Cato and Tom Findlay, who met in London in the mid-1990s and began their project as a series of club nights across the city before releasing 12-inch records through East London label Tummy Touch. The pair have described themselves as having been on dancefloors since 1988, and their DJ sets and live performances have taken them from sweat-soaked basement clubs to sold-out arena tours, including a run that set the record for the most sold-out nights at London's Brixton venue. In the summer of 2013 they returned to their residency at the We Love Space Terrace in Ibiza, and their decks-and-FX shows, which combine a live house groove with custom-built booths for lasers and real-time visuals, mark a return to the DIY warehouse spirit in which the project began. Their debut album Northern Star was released on Tummy Touch in 1998, followed by Vertigo on Jive, which sold more than a million copies, and five further albums released through Sony and BMG that earned Grammy and Brit nominations. Cato has also produced under the aliases Caia and Journeyman DJ.
