Griz
GRiZ, born Grant Richard Kwiecinski in Southfield, Michigan in 1990, is a saxophone-playing DJ and producer who began performing at fraternity parties around Michigan State University before leaving school to pursue music full time. His free 2011 debut album, "End of the World Party," built an early following that led to supporting slots with Pretty Lights, Gramatik and Big Gigantic, tours that in turn launched his own headlining runs across funk-inflected electronic and future-funk sounds. He founded the label All Good Records, formerly known as Liberated Music, to release his growing catalogue, which includes "Mad Liberation" (2012), "Rebel Era" (2013), "Say It Loud" (2015), "Good Will Prevail" (2016) and "Ride Waves" (2019), the latter incorporating more rapping and singing than his earlier work. GRiZ has headlined major festivals including Electric Forest, Lollapalooza, Bonnaroo and Shambhala, and later launched his own branded events, GRiZMAS and Seven Stars, extending his live show into festival production. He stepped away from touring in 2023 before returning to the stage in 2025, resuming a live show built around blending saxophone performance with electro-soul and future-funk DJ sets.
