Fritz Kalkbrenner — House & Soul DJ & Producer

Fritz Kalkbrenner is a German DJ and music producer born in 1981 in East Berlin, the younger brother of producer Paul Kalkbrenner and grandson of East German artist Fritz Eisel. He is primarily associated with Berlin's electronic music scene, blending house, soul and melodic songwriting into his sets and studio work. He has released a string of albums on his own label Suol, beginning with Here Today Gone Tomorrow in 2010, followed by Suol Mates and Sick Travellin' in 2012, Ways Over Water in 2014, Grand Depart in 2016 and Drown in 2018, before moving to Nasua for True Colours in 2020 and Virgin Records for Third Place in 2024. His singles, including "Facing the Sun" from 2010, helped establish him as a recognizable voice within German house and techno-minimal circles, and his catalogue of eight albums released between 2010 and the mid-2020s has anchored a touring career built around his own vocal-led productions performed in club and festival sets across Europe and Latin America.
