Fred Falke
Fred Falke, born Frederick Falke, is a French house DJ and producer who started out as a bass player around 1995 before shifting toward studio production work by the end of the decade. He met collaborator Alan Braxe, and together they released "Intro" in 2000 on Vulture Music, a track sampling The Jets' 1987 hit "Crush on You" that became a French house anthem and reportedly sold more than 500,000 copies.
The Falke-Braxe partnership produced a run of singles and remixes for artists including Goldfrapp, Royksopp, Kelis and Justice before the pair went their separate ways in 2008. Falke also collaborated extensively with German producer Kris Menace, releasing material on Menace's label Work It Baby, including his first solo album, "Part IV," and has performed live sets combining instruments and machines at venues and festivals worldwide, including the iTunes Festival in London and Field Day in Sydney.
As a remixer he has reworked tracks for U2, Tiesto, Robyn, Kesha, Katy Perry, Bastille and Selena Gomez, and he has written or produced songs for pop artists including Ellie Goulding and Will Young. Since 2021 Falke has also recorded as one half of Ampersounds alongside Los Angeles-based Zen Freeman, extending his production partnerships into a new project.
