About Fred Everything
Fred Everything, born Frédéric Blais, is a Quebec-raised deep house DJ whose career began in 1993 when he opened for Sasha at Montreal's Metropolis club night. His early sets ranged so widely across techno, house, ambient, and drum and bass that he earned the name Everything, and he built his reputation across Canada and the United States before relocating to Montreal in 1996. His profile grew further in Europe after a 1997 festival appearance in Glasgow, Scotland, and a three-month stint in London in 1999 supporting an extended European tour. He released twenty records through the label 20:20 Vision, including the 2000 album “Under the Sun,” and compiled a decade of remix work on “From The Deep - A Collection of Remixes 1998-2001,” issued by Bombay Records in 2002, featuring reworkings of Derrick Carter and Bran Van 3000 with Roy Davis Jr. Beyond the booth, he has written about house music for the San Francisco journal XLR8R and was named Best DJ in Montreal at the Mimi Gala, underscoring a career built on deep house residencies and touring since the early 1990s.
