Frank Maurel
Frank Maurel is a Portuguese DJ and producer who began playing at Club Europa at age 15 before landing a resident DJ role at Rock's club by the time he turned 20. He founded Unless Records as an outlet for his own work and received a Career Award at the MMC awards in 2010, recognition from within the Portuguese dance music industry for his sustained output.
Maurel has played at Womb in Tokyo, Pacha and El Cielo in New York, Space in Miami, and Portugal's own Neopop Festival, giving him a touring footprint spanning Asia, the Americas, and his home country. His early residency at Rock's club placed him within Portugal's club scene at a formative age, and his subsequent international dates have built on that foundation over the following years.
Maurel's label, Unless Records, has run alongside his DJ bookings, giving him a platform for original productions that complement his club and festival appearances. The MMC Career Award reflects industry recognition for a career that started young and expanded into international club and festival circuits.
