About Francesca Lombardo
Francesca Lombardo is an Italian-born, London-based DJ and producer who began her career under the alias Jackie Misfit in London's underground techno scene in 1999, the year she moved to the city from Castiglione delle Stiviere. She became a resident at the UK techno night Chemical Warfare, held at what is now the Great Suffolk Street Warehouse, before taking a residency at Ultraplay events at Cafe 1001 in London starting in 2006, a role that made her the night's longest-standing resident. She performed regularly at Crosstown Rebels parties and played more than ten dates on the label's Rebel Rave world tour in 2013, cementing her ties to the Crosstown Rebels camp after first being thrown into the spotlight as the label's first lady in 2011. Lombardo spoke twice at the International Music Summit in Ibiza in 2013, addressing panels on empowering women in music and new industry thinking, and returned in 2016 for a further panel before performing at that year's IMS closing party on the Dalt Vila Battlements. Classically trained and now working across deep house and techno, she continues to tour as a DJ and live performer while releasing music that blends her classical background with dance floor production.
