About Florian Meindl
Florian Meindl is an Austrian-born techno DJ, live performer and sound designer based in Berlin, active since the mid-2000s through his own label, FLASH Recordings, which he has run since 2006 and which has issued more than 250 releases including 40 vinyl records from artists such as Radio Slave and Sigha. Born in 1985 in Eferding, Austria, Meindl built his career as much around live performance as club DJing, touring internationally with a hardware setup built on a modular synthesizer and analog equipment.
He has performed on Berlin's HÖR livestream platform on two occasions and took part in a 2018 Boiler Room Berlin improvisational jam session alongside Henning Baer, Dasha Rush and Speedy J. His discography includes the albums Waves, released in 2012, and Collide in 2015, both on FLASH Recordings, along with a steady run of singles and EPs stretching from his 2005 debut EP on Balkon through releases including Egyptian Storm and Desert Times.
Alongside his label, he founded Riemann Kollektion, a sound-design company producing sample packs for producers. Remix credits include reworks of Röyksopp's This Must Be It and Hot Chip's I Feel Better, underscoring a career built on original productions, remix work and touring live-act performances rather than fixed club residencies.
